Default Traction bars, will they help if I have no wheel hop?

Well my motor mounts pretty much took care of anywheel hop I had, but I would still like to get better traction. I sold my wheels and tires on ebay and am going to be picking up some 15's and running BFG drag radials. I'm also considering getting some traction bars. Does anyone know if traction bars will help decrease 60' times with drag radials and no wheel hop?

Hey man... I would take it with a grain of salt, but from my experience if you're not hopping, traction bars won't help much. I used to use a traction bar, and have since taken it off since i don't have wheel hop issues with the turbo i'm using.

What kinda tires were you using before, street tires or drag radials?

without a doubt stiffen it up, plus give you caster adjustibility, with that setup right, they can be highly benificial

...just because you don't have wheel hop does not mean they won't help help with your launches, and lowering 60fts. if setup correctly they can be very beneficial like vtekthis said.

...hey darren, u edited yur sig. that ef is still runnin huh

i never had any wheel hop issues either, but the traction bars did help a lot.
greatly reduced torque steer, and did seem to help traction too.just because you're not getting wheel hop,it doesn't mean all the front suspension isn't moving around a lot.
as an example,i have about 3" of space between my tires and front bumper.there used to be enough movement that the tires would grab the bumper and tear it down.with the bars i don't have any issues at all,and that's with the car lower, resulting in a smaller gap to the bumper.

Well... i am not making 400-500+hp like some of you guys are, and since i ddn't notice any differnce with them off or on with my current set up, i don't think it would make that big of a difference to justify buying a set, or building a set in my case.

Just like anything, i'm sure it just all depends. My last setup wheel hopped like crazy and the traction bars remedied that issue. I don't think there is anyone right answer, i'm just voicing my experience.

I've been running street tires. I just sold my wheels and tires so Im going to order some 15's and drag radials.
