anyone know where there a write up on changing intake gasket for a dohc zc??or i guess even for 89 integra motor would work.i cant find a 89 integra helms around here.and i just want to know whats all involed in doing the job?and does anyone have any part # for the 89 integra intake gasket?
Here is a writeup on replacing the intake gasket.
1. seperate the intake manifold by removing the obviously placed fasteners including the one underneath.
2. replace gasket
3. tighten fasteners
Buying a haynes/helms manual would probably be a good idea.
Call your auto parts store to order the intake gasket or go to http://www.hondapartsdeals.com and look it up. Or, do a google search for "1989 integra intake gasket."
do a search for "helms download" on honda tech and you will find the manuals for download.

take manifold off, take old gasket off, put new gasket on, put the manifold back on.
you dont need the part number, go to your local acura dealer and tell them what sort of car you have. dont try to be creative either.... when i worked for honda, i got tired of kids coming in trying to tell me how to do my job.
"its a gsr motor in a civic" well then go to acura....
"but its a honda motor" but honda of america didnt have that engine in any US cars, so you need to go to acura.
"can you call to see if they have one, i dont want to waste my time" no, you can call... im not making any extra money off of that gasket, and i am wasting my time.

An 89 Integra IM gasket by Felpro is a MS 93362, you may as well get a 60737 TB gasket while your there.
