Anyone is mounting the slicks with screws on the rims for DRAG racing when running low tire pressure?
A local guy is telling me he screw screws throu the rim to "thighten" the tire. Ever heard about it?

I've only seen this on very high powered rear drive cars. It keeps the tire from spinning on the rim. I wouldn;t worry about it on a Honda.
i actually have it on my setup. Its actually a good idea to do it on really large tire and not something small. You are actually screwing into the bead of the tire thereby stopping it from spinning on the rim which usually happens with high hp cars.
i have slicks , but no screws. thats only if you have mad power.
i dont think youll have a prob with spinning tires off the wheels. i dont and im prob pushing 250 or so to the wheels.
