Default Acura Legend

Does anyone have one or had one?
How reliable are the ones from 92-94? Your experiences with them?
Been reading on Acura-legend.com more info.
Looking to buy one soon. Manual of course!

Thanks

If you want preformance look elsewhere. You will need waaay too much power to push that weight.

Get a coupe. The biggest/worst thing to watch out for is blown head gaskets.

I'm putting down 224 at the wheels with mods so....yeah. I run mid 14's in the 1/4, faster than the new civic SI.

i just got rid of mine.
if ur conscience about gas and the high prices, i would stay away from the legends.
they are some thirsty tanks.

i would go for the 06 civic sedan or new fit.

Good point, if money is an issue, the Legend isn't cheap to own or maintain. City gas mileage sucks, hwy not so bad, I get about 28mpg on the interstate averaging 70mph. In 1995, Legends sold for over $40k, so upkeep on them has never been cheap. My reason for preferring the Legend is to be different, everyone and their brother has a modded civic. Not that the Civic isn't a good car, it's just nice to mod a car that you don't see all the time.

I love mine. Anyone who bashes them has never owned one.
They are not fast but they shure as heck are not slow. Mine is mostly stock, and I took at SE-R spec V. Nothing to brag about, but not bad for a large 4 door. I have had mine aroune 120mph on the GA 400. Was smooth and very impressed, didnt feel like I was going that fast.
Look for a type-II. They are a little faster with 260hp. Over all a good car. I have no complaints, and as far as gas goes it really isnt that bad.

Type-II is 230, not 260.

Dealerships try to screw you out of repairs anyway, so it practically doesnt matter.

That's ok, I work at the dealer so I know how to fix it. 3/36 doesn't last long anyways.

Oh BTW, Acura paid $1000 towards my paint job a couple years ago due to failed clearcoat. Goodwill warranty repair on my '91. LOL.

sorry to bring this thread from the dead....but i don't want to make a new thread about the same thing

i just found out an hour ago that my old man is giving me his 92 acura legend...he's heard alot that my 98 gsr is giving me lots of hassle and complaints from..well to be honest, i had to change my driver side axle, clutch and slave cylinders, and my header just cracked

so my question is, if anyone that has owned one can tell me how they last i believe this one has 140k, 5 speed too

Ive driven it couple times it seems "not slow", but i cant brag about it since i can take it with my gsr so im still keeping my gsr, my pops just wanted me to have an extra car just in case this one breaks down and cant go to work, oh and by the way my gsr has 143k and i bought it with 67k on august of 04...so you can imagine the miles i put in cars and maintenance on the legend?..is it cheap?...oil changes, tune up and stuff like that...just want to know a little more about this car

thanx in advance
