Default Custom exhaust

I found an Apexi N1 muffler at the junk yard for free and it is in almost brand new condition. The only thing wrong with it is the back of the muffler rusted off. My buddy's dad welded a piece of sheet metal on to the back and now we just have to build the piping to go with it. Now here's my question. What is the stock size of the exhaust piping for the 99' 4cyl sedan? I need to know because i need to size down the piping to fit the stock pipes. Anything input would help. Thanx.

I'm sorry, I'm new to this. Why would it be bad to weld it on the stock piping? I'm driving without a muffler now cuz the bolts rusted off and I am only looking to keep this exhaust on there till mid June. That's why I wanted to do this till then. My birthday is June and then I am getting a full Skunk2 cat back.

If you have an aftermarket muffler you might as well make a complete custom system. WIth the stock piping it just wouldnt look right.

Thanx for all the help. I think I might just save up for about another couple of weeks and make it a full custom like suggested. Once again thanx for all the help.

good choice. all its gonna do is make the exhaust loud and annoying. you will gain NO power, and it would buzz and gurgle
