Default can GOOD Transmissino fluid give horsepower gain?

hey a buddy of mine just got a brand new Infiniti G35 and his brother-in-law, who is a mechanic and is heavy into racing, told him to change his Transmission Fluid. he said that the tranny fluid from the factory is thinner than those found in stores and that if he put better tranny fluid in, he could see up to a 5 horsepower gain. i dont know much about the transmission part of the car and was wondering if this is true??

Any change in WHP due to oil is going to be VERY small. Also, a thicker oil will DECREASE WHP due to causing an increase in drag.
