koni yellows + gc coilovers in 00 civic
i have searched, but cant find the exact info im lookin for. i have a 00 si and my current set-up is ground control coilovers on stock shocks/struts. I am looking to upgrade to koni yellows, but i need to know what i need to do to make my ground controls compatible. a buddy of mine suggested that i need to get different sleeves from ground control for the coilovers which make the ground controls compatible. Does this sound right to anyone? any help is appreciated. thanks.
UPDATE:
I called ground control and this is what they sent me. supposed to be sleeves that work with koni shocks. They said since I already have the coilovers with stock set-up, this is all I need in order to switch to koni yellows. Does this look right to everybody? guy at gc said i didnt need any new nuts, just use the ones i have. do i need different nuts?

You need the GC Koni sleeves, which are only sold in a kit. Sell you stock shock kit and upgrade to the Koni kit. I have one for sale if you are interested.
if you using bottom cup, i think you can use GC you already have.
however, they sell combo which only fit on GC coilver for koni yellow. slide in. with ring on the bottom.
emila GC, if you are plan to keep the GC, see what they say

so i need to get new sleeves from ground control right? compatible with koni yellows? if i call ground control, will they know what i need, or should i try to find part numbers?
You will need the special "Koni" type sleeves. They are much smaller & fit flush against the shock body. You will also need new smaller diameter gold nuts. You can get them from GC by calling them up. They sell all the parts separatly, and it will cost about $114 for all 8 parts. If Vtecvoodoo has a set for sale, you should proably buy them from him. He's a our trustworthy H-T Eibach rep & I wouldn't think twice if I though I was getting a deal.

There should be a black spacer/adapter inside those sleeves. That black ring sits directly on the Koni circlip. Is that adapter present? If so, those will work perfectly with your existing nuts...
For some reason I'm looking at them, and I can't remember if the long ones go on the front or rear. Long in the front, right?
I think I just lost my H-T cred

I'm pretty sure it's long in the rear. The pic I posted above is my front shock, and it has a relativly short sleeve. It's also a smaller diameter than the ones our OP posted (so they may look longer). The circlip on the rear koni shocks are pretty low because they use those large cups to seat the spring. I think GC just covers the extra lower portion of the sleeves with threads to make manufacturing easier...

I think you're right. I was thinking that the rear had more circlip grooves, so it'd be the shorter one; but didn't take into account the stock mounting cups would make the grooves lower than in the front.
