Help Headlight bulb 9006 keeps blowing

you do not need higher wattage you need to clean the connectors and make sure they are making good contact with the bulb

serious people think they can just use higher wattage bulb. the harness is design to run a certain wattage(oem spec), anything higher would neither the blub burns out or the harness melts.

If you are sure that you arent touching the glass then you should check your alternator output. It may be too high thus cooking the bulb (and other components) Get a multi-meter and check battery voltage with the car running.
