you cant really get any power off a d15 unless to do a swap, or turbo..

punch your friend in the neck.

search is your friend. Are you trying to get "free" hp?? There really is no way of getting it but you can get a better power to weight ratio as stated earlier by taking out stuff you dont need from your car.

advance your timing a littlebit, change headers, intake and exhaust piping, muffler) would make a big differece but still not enough compared to swaps and turbo

He really is.

You should just get a swap or a turbo, there isn't really such a thing as free horsepower.

Depending on what exact version of the motor you're talking about, it's possible to rely on the manual advance of the distributor and take off the vacuum advance.

If you are judicious in this implementation, and if you do not mind running premium fuel all the time, you'll get about 3 HP and some torque down low where it matters.

Don't go ***** nilly advancing your spark w/out knowing what you're doing, though, and have the 93 octane in the tank before you try it...and make sure you back down if you hear anything before the car goes into limp mode.

This won't get you much, but you'll get it where you'll feel it the most, off the line.

Yes, there is no free lunch. The best thing to do if you're serious is to hang out in here and read a lot, and search a lot, until you have a definite upgrade path that suits you.

I call BS. The poor kids at school always got free lunch.

For more "Free" power you can also remove power steering and AC if you have it.
