Default 05-06 RSX Tail light Alternatives?

Hello, just personal preference, but I don't really like the RSX's new tail lights, so are there any alternatives besides swapping the bumper and lights for the 02-04 version? Does any company make an aftermarket tail light for the newer RSX's, or what other options do I have?

The new lights wouldn't be too bad if they didn't have the three bumps that stick out.
How feasible is having someone mold a new lens for the lights?

There is always the option to do a conversion if you have the money and a shop to do it. Probably not worth it really...

You could look into the JDM taillights as they are slightly different, but same styling. As far as I know, there are no "good" aftermarket taillights they all tend to be sub-par with OEM.

Try tinting the tails, that normally has a nicer look to take away from the features you don't like about them.

Yeah a conversion would be too costly and I'd rather spend the money elsewhere.

Does anyone have a picture of the JDM taillights?

lol costly? I'm sure there are people who would swap bumper and tailights + give you cash.

05-06 look fine, but hey if you wanna 'look good' as oppose to spending the money on the motor then whatever floats your boat

personally i think it's a waste of money

Thanks for your opinion bro, here's mine:

If you want to spend money to try to make the RSX faster then more power to ya. Personally I think THAT is a waste of money - I went and got an R6 instead and called it a day.

Different people will have different uses for a car. My RSX will be a daily driver, so I really don't need to make the car any faster than it already is. I just want my daily driver to look good TO ME, to hell with what anyone else thinks.

But anyway, back to the original topic:

-I don't want to swap the 02-04 lights and bumpers on because of the potential color difference of the bumpers.
-A conversion would be too costly and require too much machine work to the existing body
-The JDM tails aren't different/better enough to justify paying for them

Do I have any other choices? If not, I'll probably just leave it as it is.

not to mention the conversion is not just the bumper, its the hatch. And since the cars are slightly different dimensions (newer being 2cm shorter?) the hatches don't swap, so its a custom job regardless.

Honestly, right now, I don't think you have much choice. I'd just get some vynal and cover the parts you don't like or "tint" them, that always looks nice.

Thanks Pixel, I think I'm probably going to have to leave them be. I didn't realize the hatch was changed too.

Honestly I like the 06 tails better than the 02-04, but that is my opinion. At first I didn't really dig my 06 tails but after a little while I think they are okay, because they are different.
