Default ugly headlights

my headlights looks terrible, they are perma-fogged

i thought that this might have been on the inside but it's actually on the outside because when i pop my hood the rest of the headlight behind the seal is crystal clear

does anyone know how to fix this?

Try some plastic polish.

Use a good amount, and work it in there.

they make a plastic cleaner too... I usually use that first, then hit it with the polish.

Youre gonna need more than just plastic polish for those lights dude! Id go out and get some 1000, 1500, and 2000 grit sandpaper and start wetsanding. Then get some 3M rubbing compound from wal mart and get the sand marks out. Then get the plastic polish, and polish the hell outta them!!!

My lights werent half that bad, and I had to sand them. Good luck bro

my dad's supra headlights were pretty faded...we spent about 5 hours sanding them down (taking them apart as well) and buffing/polishing them out

FLITZ! IT! I did it to my lights and they work wonders. Try wetsanding w/2000 grit first, then Flitz, then hand buff

Sanding with water... basically. If you dont know how to wetsand I would suggest practicing on a scrap piece of plastic or something. Basically when you wet sand you want to keep your piece of sand paper wet at all times, as well as the area that you are sanding. When doing your headlights, make sure that you only go in a back and forth motion across the lens, otherwise you will have tons of swirl marks and it will be a huge pain in the *** to get them out..... Searh in the FAQ's section to find out how to do this.....there have been sooo many write ups done!
