Default Grinding Noise In Clutch At Start Up

When I attempt to start my car and I have the clutch pressed down...I feel/hear a slight grind on the pedal..any ideas? I know if a starter is loose it can cause a grind like that..but I tighten it every so often, so I know it's not that. Any ideas? Will this damage my motor? Oh yeah...car runs fine after start up.

Car is a 98 Integra LS.
Thanks in advance for any replies!
