How much FREON r12 to add - 1993 civic dx
That doesnt even make sense. I said how much freon does the system hold. A gauge is just going to tell me the pressure, and with no point of reference it will do me nothing.
Anyway i already have a full gauge manifold set, vacuum pump, freon, air compressor, can tap, and oil. I simply need to know the amount of freon and oil the ac system holds.

Okay
well u did'nt say that, so don't say "this doesn't make any sense" you said "how much do I add"
I have no idea how much there is, but it's a half *** way to fill it without a guage anyways (just oh yeah, it holds X, lemme just dump X in there)
u need a guage to do it properly......

Check the expensive repair manual. It will tell you what pressure that you should be at. You fill it until you hit that pressure. It's gonna be over 1/2 a gallon so you'd be better off going to a shop and giving them $40 to fill it up for you.

Your a fool. Typically, systems are charged to 80% of thier capacity and checked. Yes, you might need a gauge to make sure its working correctly, but if a system holds (example) 14 oz, you can charge it to 80% of capacity without expecting any issues and without the use of a gauge.
