Engine Noise On B18c1
engine has approximately 124k miles..and eveyrtime I rev the motor between 3,000-4,000 rpms..I hear some sort of clicking Noise..but I took the car to the muffler shop and told me that there were no exhaust leaks..Help!
Does this sound continue as the RPM increases? Does it stop near 4400 RPM? I'm thinking that it could be your lost motion assemblies. This is merely a guess based on limited information.
Many people have had rattling heat shields (with pebbles stuck on them) which causes a rattle. Otherwise, i would get ur valves adjusted before ripping out the cams to do the LMA's. (Much cheaper also) If you have access, make a video or put up some audio so we can hear it. It will probably help.
