Integra Shocks the same?
So I am told that I have KYB AGX's installed, but they were originally off an Integra. My car sits a little high in comparison to other Civic's on the same drop. Are the Integra shocks a little bit longer? Thanks!
No, they are not longer. What do you mean by same drop? Wouldn't the same drop have your Civic and the other Civic at the same height? It's your springs.

No they are the same.
The only difference is the width of the shock where it mounts to the lca. DC/EG is wider then the EK.

Wow. Ok.
Well does anyone have any ideas on why my ride height is higher? Especially in regards to why the coilovers weren't lowering like they were supposed to?

If you just swapped them over with springs/coilovers(without dissasembling), then you shouldn't have adjusted them. That threw them off imo. Sometimes you have to drive the car for a few feet before they set down. Happened to my EG. Since you didn't do this, it sat higher and you messed with the sleeve right?

I jumped on the car, which is the same effect.
Not that it matters, if I move the sleeve an inch or two down, the ride height was not effected at ALL.

Good question!! I am pretty sure the spring was compressed, but let me ask the guy who I was installing with.
Just for curiousity, give me a response for both occasions.

Car is higher due to the shock. You could take a stock Civic spring and put Integra shocks on it and you'll notice the ride height WILL be higher.
Shocks are model specific, just as much as the spring.

I think these guys are right though. The 94-01 Integra and the 92-95 Civic have the same model number for KYB.

Shocks are ideintical. Spring rates do differ between models though.

What does spring rates have to do in regards to shocks and the ride height?
