Default Exotic exhausts for your civic

Now, when it comes to exhausts for our cars, we've all heard the buzzy, the tinny, the open dp and the beautiful hum of a quiet deep note, though rare.

Has anybody ever heard a exotic sounding one before? A note that surprised you to be coming from a civic? I suppose if you have, share your experience. I'm convinced something better can come from the muffler than the usual sounds. I'm looking for something different.

Now I don't want anybody stealing my idea but...

I ordered a jdm fish tank from china that I'm going to mount on a jet ski trailer. Then I'm going to hitch it up to my hatchback and fill it with water. I'll then take some dryer hose and hook it up to my 6" jdm exhaust and run it into the fish tank. BAM!! Crazy-jdm exotic civic exhaust madness!!!!

Please don't bite my style.

Go ahead and laugh. When my car sounds all bad-*** like the one in the original Absent Minded Professor movie, don't come crying to me for a DIY write-up.

Well, I don't know about exotic - but I have a 40 series flowmaster on a stock 94 Si exhaust. It has a deeper tone than most that I have heard.

My $02

Big cams + big header + proper resonators = great, rumbling sound from a Civic.

only exotic sounding civic I've heard was a highly modified NA K20 in a civic. It depends more on the engine than the exhaust.

You will never hear a stock d-series that sounds exotic.

I want to hear an new infinity muffler on a honda, or better yet a turbo honda. Thats the best sound Ive heard from a non-ferrari/benz/lambo.... I think Im gonna put a couple of FX35 mufflers on my SC300 when I get one, they just sound so great, its such a distinctive sound too. I love it

See, I'm not crazy. Thats what I was thinking. I wonder how hard it would be snag one of those muffs from a g35?

Well, when I first had the turbo on my civic, we put a custom 60mm tubing for the cat-back with a race muffler on it. It sure didn't sound like a Honda, sounded more like a racecar, the sound was loud enough you'd think it didn't have a muffler on it.

I liked it, but the cops didn't and after a few noise tickets I put on a quiet muffler.

I have a full 3" turbo back with an 18" resonator in the middle (about under the seats) and I like how it sounds, its nothing "exotic" though. Just not raspy or buzzy or whatever, like most hondas.
