i have an HP Racing intake manifold and it isn't too bad...i thought it was going to be a lot more laggy than it is, but honestly the little low end i lost was quickly offset by the highend that i gained

I had one on my old b18b with no cams (bad idea). When i got cams though it made it worth the loss.

I know exactly what u are talking about, i have the skunk2 manifold right now. When i first bolted it on and dyno tuned with e-manage i was at 162whp 120lbs tq.... Then I put some skunk2 stage 1 cams, tuned with hondata and obd1 im currently 180whp, 134 lbs of tq. Bottom end till bout 4.8 it still kind of lags, but pulls really hard 5200 and up. Def made up for it, but bottom end theres not much u can do... thats what single runners will do to u. Bottom line, get cams..

DAMN. You made 180 whp, with just bolt ons, sknk stg 1 cams, and tune. That is amazing. Is bottom end stock or is it modified? P&P head? I assume the bottom end is modified if you made that much power.

stock bottom end. Its all in the tune, my buddy tuned it for a good 2 hours. Im pretty much maxed out with bolt ons, except i have a stock throttle body. Not sure where to go from here, maybe boost, which is why i went with the stage 1 cams.

Single runner is worth having with cams yes.
