It's not going to do you much good w/out some cams and/or tuning.

Im not a pro on this. But we are putting a blox (same as Skunk2 engineering) because it is shorter, and shorter intake is supposed to give low end.

We were gonna go with the bbk (inexpensive and looks sick) But its a longer intake, and that would give us top end.

But we have Blox stage 2 cams, Supertech valves, springs and TI retainers... Sitting on usdm type R high comp pistons.

i dont think it would make you lose power, but hopefulley you didn't pay too much for it because with no mods its not really gonna do much of anything for ya

yes you will definitely lose low end power... or some will say your torque curve will be shifted.. from 1-3k rpm it will feel sluggish. without any supporting mods to the head, you are losing power everywhere throughout the powerband and a nasty huge dip at 4400 on a stock p72 ecu. stick with the dual stage manifold. its much better for a stock car

True, we have kids come all the time to the shop and we tell them the same thing but they want to pay to have it installed anyways. Then complain that there friends are beating them worser. with out cams, headers, or internals keep your stock.

Yes You Will Lose Some Low End Torque, I Doubt You Would Be Able To Feel It On The Butt-Dyno Though, I Have A AEM Type R CAI, JG 65MM TB, Skunk 2 IM, JG 4-2-1 Header, Modified 2-1/4" Collector, 2-1/4" Carsound Cat, And 2-1/4" Exhaust, And Here Is My Dyno

And That IS Tuned On A Hondata S300, You Can't Really Utilize An I.M. Without Cams Or Else You Will Lose Low-End Torque As Well As A Torque Canyon At About 4700 RPM, However I Have A Gs-R So VTEC Does Have Something To Do With That Drop In Torque. Bottom Line You Need Cams To Make A I.M. Effectively Work

You have it backwards. Longer runners benefit low rpms, and shorter runners benefit high rpms.

its going to shift your powerband up a little, but as for the loss in power...you won't really notice it....when i first installed my HP Racing IM, you could tell there was a low end loss, but the top end was a lot better. Its more for a turbo application however....now that its on boost its awesome!
