Default can i drop the motor from my ef out the bottom?

hey..i archived but othing came up so i fiugred i would ask u guys cuz u guyz no better than me... instead of renting an engine hoist can i just remove the front lower frame... and then disconnect everything and drop it through the bottom. am i being stupid or is it possible? it seems like it would slip thorugh...i just bought a parts car and all i need is the motor... any one know if i could?

ive seen a thread here a while back where a guy used a homemade engine holder, basically what he did was had like 4 two buy fours put together put some wheels on it, dropped the motor on it and jacked up the car and removed it on the wheels yes its possible

yes u can.

you need to either keep it as a whole and get it real real high and drop it out the bottom *trick* get front end 13" off of ground, remove front bumper to save it from damage

OR

remove it in pieces, take off the head, tranny and drop the block throuhg the bottom, car only has to be raised normal height to do it this way but it takes a while and you have to put it back together

Try using two jack stands or floor jacks to lift right under side of car behind front tires to get it even higher. But yes it can come out the bottom. If you twist it right though, and if you have an engine hoist, you can pull it out the top too. Good luck

sweeeeet!!!! thanx guyz u are all awesomw..save me a big hassle..... i appreciate all the help... no heres another question...shifter linakge pin wont come out...tried so hard to get it out but it wont budge!!! used...a srcrewdriver and hammer... torch... release all... nothing!! should i drill it out?

use a punch, they are a pain in the *** to get out.
