I bought a used turbonetics external wastegate, and I noticed it does NOt have the lil ring that goes into the wastaget so it seals properly, I am niot sure what the exact name of it, one once said it was a fire ring.

Does anyone know where I can get one?

he is talking about the metal ring/washer that sits inside the wastegate inlet. not a gasket.

 

I have a spare one for a tial 38mm I don't klnow if it works though... I had the same problem, I became a licensed tial distributor to get one. PAIN IN THE ***

Hmm, so it is a FireRing? Damn, I need one badly! It's looking like I got ripped off on this wastegate then, thats why I got it so cheap....

 

ok, it's called a Valve seat/ring

do you have a delta gate? they dont use those rings....

ita a delta gate mark 3 or 2 . So they dONT use them at all?? my buds Tial does....

 

the deltagates don't have a fire ring. if it does. atpturbo sells them for 25 dollars, but those are for tial wg's

Pretty much if there's any rubber piece sealing the valve in your waste gate, it's gonna leak. Please take some pics.

Are you sure? Why, when I look into the bottom of the gate (where the black rubber looking thing is) I can see light from the other side, meaning it going to leek?
