I'm looking around for a shop to do the exhaust fab for my car. The place I'm looking at needs to have a mandrel bender capable of bending 3" pipe.
So far, the only shop close to me that I can find is Altered Atmosphere, but I'm looking for other options to try to keep price down

Does anybody know any good exhaust shops in MD? Midas and the like don't count

 

I attended a dyno day for my car club at Altered Atmosphere. Their shop is nicely equiped (didn't notice a mandrel bender), but they do good work ... ask the DSM guys as they are known to be a DSM shop.

 

Only reason I'm looking for other places is because I'm annoyed at AA because they quoted me ~$300 for a 3" cat

Other than that, I don't have any problems going there.

JE imports, http://www.jeimportperformance.com Off exit 32 on 695/balitmore beltway. They've come a long way. I'm going to them for dyno tuning in may, and my bro got his 3.5 altima tuned there, very nice and upgraded. Either go to JE, or Altered Atmosphere, two of the better places in MD. There are a couple of shops in Waldorf, but that's in St. Mary's county. And by the way, you don't have to go to a tuner for a nice exhaust, most garages in your area can fab you up the right exhaust.

 

we do 2.5, 3, 3.5, and 4 inch exhausts all the time, mandrel bent out of either stainless steel or aluminum, tig welded.

there is no place anywhere remotely close to here that actually has a mandrel bender. we buy mandrel bends and cut/weld them how we want them

we are probably an hour away from you.
