I thought that said overEATING lol.

If your car only overheats at idle, check your thermo switch first. This is a two-pin sensor located right on the thermostat housing, or near it anyways. Also bleed the system of air. When the car is cold, start it and let it run with the radiator cap off. Let it idle for 20 min or so until the thermostat opens (both upper and lower hoses will be hot). Top off with coolant and close.

Same thing with me too. Its completely fine when I'm cruiseing down the road but when I come to a stop for a couple of mins it overheats, I rev up the engine a litte and the temp drops back down to normal.

It could be your water pump that why it overheat then you rev your engine then the heat go back down . The water pump is not pumping fast enough to move the water to the radiator so you will have to rev the motor to spin the water pump fast to move the water to the radiator to cool it down. I think a bad water pump.

Did you bleed all of the air form the system?

To the thread starter:

If you are sure that the fan works (checked it with 12v), You could do like I did. I went to Auto Zone and bought a thermostatic fan switch. It was only like 20 bucks or so. It turns the fan on when the thermostat (included) reaches a pre-determined temp. You can set this temp at whatever youd like.... thats why I put it on mine. I like for the fan to come on a little earlier,.... and when we are at the track, I'll set it to stay on. That way between runs the fan cools down the engine.

yea my fan does turn on and i switched and put a new thermostatic switch and it still overheated. both the cooling fan relay and fuse are fine. I heard thought tht there is a relay behind the passenger headlight which was the relay for the motor. im not sure on that. ill probably do tht and buy the thermostatic switch you're telling me about. Thnks
