Default my heater gauge is whack....

most the time it jumps to the top half oft he time it stays on half... recently it been jumping to the top more then half.. so i poped the hood and the coolant is there and didnt see any leaks... wat makes the gauge go up so high

right now its summer and im driving with the heat on so it lowers the temp back to half just incase it is actualy overheating i dont want to demage my motor

If you are running the heat and it lowers the temp back down, I don't think it's just the gauge/sensor. Make sure both fans come on, your coolant is at a safe mixture, replace your thermostat, etc. Most likely it's your thermostat.

Have you changed your coolant lately? If you haven't, now is a good time to change the coolant and the thermostat. And you can't knock the thermostat off LOL. Overheating the engine is dangerous, DON'T DO IT!!!
