Default 98 Accord - factory alarm problem

I'm guessing the problem is originating from the alarm. The alarm suddenly started turning on with out provocation. I am having to leave the doors unlocked so as not to arm the alarm or it will sound at some point, sometimes in 10 minutes or in some cases hours.

Yesterday, after having the alarm go off after forgeting to keep it disarmed, the shifter would not come out of park with the engine running, had to manually release the shifter lock. Is this part of the security, that if the alarm sounds the shifter will not normally unlock so the theif still cannot drive the car? Or is this a secondary electrical problem?

Sorry about the long winded post. Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks

interesting. is your battery getting low by chance? I've seen a dying battery set off the alarm.

I have not tested it but there is no indication that the battery is lacking power, it is a fairly recent battery in good condition.

Further, now the horn stopped working. Now that I think of it and did a little bit of troubleshooting, this all started with the day running light indicator coming on on the instrument panel, naturally thinking the bulb/s were burnt I replaced both right and left High beam bulbs which are used as the DRL's. The right one never started working again and after a little troubleshooting discovered there is power going to the light but it does not seem to be grounding. I am starting to think that there could be some kind of grounding problem. Does anybody know where I can get a wiring diagram (98 accord, coupe, 4cyl.)? At least It would give me an indication if the light and the horn share a ground...

Thanks
