What b-series tranny's work well with a 94 gsr motor, other than the gsr tranny?

 

any b series tranny will work with your gsr including a si tranny or a ls tranny or a type r tranny

 

Generally people like the Civic si or the Type R tranny. Same low gearing but the R has an LSD.

 

What tranny is the better performance wise?

 

to have the lsd the tranny must be jdm right? so i can get a jdm b16 tranny and have a lsd?

 

Only Type R's come with LSD. You can install LSD into a tranny if you want though.

 

ne body know where i can get a new transmission for cheap a site or place in sactown, cali?

 

LS tranny is a dog on a vtec motor unless you're boosting. stick with a vtec tranny and be happy.

 

Attarco.... Go with b16 or type r if you can find one.

Better in what way though, shorter gearing maybe, what kind of setup is it even going on?
And do you like acceleration better then gas mileage?

Like someone said before though, LS &gt; GSR &gt; B16 &gt; Type-R
In terms of shorter gearing, plus b16, & type-r are the same except for the type-r having lsd.

I only meant USDM trannys if you were referring to my post.

 

get a type-r tranny and take the 5th gear out of you gsr . 5th is shorter in the gsr than it is on the type-r

are you serious? You didnt get enough info from all that what else do you want to know? Do you want some to go with you to go pick up the tranny with you or somethin?

Buy my OEM LSD and you will have LSD without having to buy a new tranny.

 

If you put a Stage 2 pressure plate w/ a Ceramic 6 puck sprung disc from Competition Clutch on the stock tranny, will the transmission start failing? Some friend of mine said that, because its a race clutch kit. if you drive it relular eventually the tranny will start failing, he said you have to be racing with it almost all the time.

Your friend is wrong. As long as you follow the manf. rules on how to break the clutch in, it should be fine for DD.
