Interesting philosophy.
106,073 miles now so I guess it's time for a "biggie size" rebuild.
After all, don't want to get caught behind some of those newer cars!

A sleeved block with Hondata managing the motor is in the works.
I just have to figure out where to put the oil cooler, in conjunction with the A/C, radiator and intercooler (not to mention the PS cooler )

Wow, 60,000K = 6,000,000 miles How did someone get that many miles on a C5 already?

In Canada, K is short for Kilometers, so 60,000K is 60,000 Kilometers..

I plan on rebuild once I hit 150k miles or so. Hopefully CA octane will go back up so I can up the compression while I'm at it.

mr spoon say rebuild after every 60,000 km, but he is talking race engines...

and god damn gas prices! hey, lets phase out 92 octane so that the prices will be lower and the people will be happier, then we will hike up the prices even further and then we will phase out 91 octane and give them 90 octane at a cheaper price... all while we line our ****** pockets with even more money cuz the gas is cheaper for us and yet the people still pay a lot more than it is worth!

I say at least 150.000 km....
Valve adjustment every 10.000 km? Isn't that a bit overkill?
Every 30.000 km should be enough. According to the EuroITR shop manual you should do valve adjustment every 40.000 km....

Ed, if you don't mind, can you tell us about any problems you have experienced as you've racked up the miles?
George -- Just regular maintenance, some common sense and Mobil 1 @ 4-5K mile oil and filter changes.
Also, stay away from those "money shifts" and don't ride the rev limiter!

The motor has not yet been apart, but I've had installed a Fidanza/ACT clutch @ 85K, along with a high flow pump, FPR and had the injectors cleaned (before driving out to the Expo in Buttonwillow last summer).
Mmmm... 9100 K rpm rev limiter on my Mugen ECU, too!
