Do you have a wideband? Follow the instructions that came with it.

If its for a light show its the white wire on the o2

unless you get a wideband o2 sensor its just going to swing back and forth because its a narrow band o2, so it wont give you exact readings. i would sell the gauge if it was free.

You can do that, but it's not going to be useful.

In order for it to give a proper reading you need a wideband O2 sensor. O2 sensor currently in your car is a narrowband.

NB and WB use different voltages to show AFRs. ECU can only read NB input, your WB sensor can only read WB input.

Well damn, I made a mistake and I apologize. Glad I learned something new today.

no your right, his doesnt, just the 49state P07 obd1 ecu does, the HX obd2 ecu also does, as well as some newer accord etc. ones. but everythign you said about his is correct.

Iono, I've seen some of pple at races using htem.....not for show, mostly on gutted cars (drag cars)....so there wasn't much to show...

But this current example would be nothing but a light show.

I run a wideband in my car, but it's for safety (of my motor) and tuning purposes.

a narrow band o2 reading doesnt do any good for tuning, so its basically a light show.

Chances are good that it's not a narrow band A/f gauge in a serious drag car... a wideband gauge looks a little like a narrow band gauge.

examples...
narrow band

wideband

or wideband

yeah I hear ya..just that's kinda pointless unless ur making a show car...

Iono, like I learned from my dad who used to deal with big blocks, chevelles and ****, said when he's modding out a car, he always puts an oil pressure guage on there, because when something breakes, that oil pressure guage will be the first to go crazy, before you completely expletive something up, so I'm into a bad habbit of putting them on any car I'm souping up, not for a light show, but sometimes if you have too much bang for ur car to handle, that oil pressure gauge can keep u from blowing ur engine :-\

the gauge isnt a very good idea for monitering engine conditions especially during a race where the tach and shift lights are most important, alot of drag racers use a oil pressure gauge w/ a big warning light, like a shift light, that illuminates if the pressure gets too low.

Yeah that's what I"m talking about..

But even if it's not a car for dragging, whenever I build up the motor, I put a oil pressure gauge in, it's...iono, a mix between a habbit and safe guard, true it won't always show something bad's about the happen, but sometimes it gives you a better chance
