Default carwash

So I went to run my car throught the carwash yesterday and it turned out rather ugly. The top brush decided that it really liked my rear wiper and decided that it wanted to take it home with it. The rest of my car did not agree with the car wash and wanted to keep the rear wiper.......I wish that I could post some pics, but the out come resulted in a shattered rear windshield a twisted hatch and no more wiper arm or motor.......

Current estimate for repair is $ 2,900...

So...........everyone do yourself a favor and only wash you integra by hand or use a very nice brushless carwash.

Thanks for some venting space,

JAY

You need to get incontact with the owner/operator of that car wash and bring him/her some estimates for the damage caused to your car. It is there fault.
Do they have anything at or around the car wash that says anything about rear wipers? The ones where I live only warn "No dual wheel vehicles" Check it out and get your **** fixed.

Jay neglected to tell you that this is the car wash at our work. But he was off the clock, and sadly, on his own time.

The car wash has, in the past, eaten Integras by grabbing their windshield wipers, just like it did to Jay's teg. I can think of two recently that had shattered rear windshields.

I run mine through 1-2 times a week, and so far I have been lucky enough not to have any problems.

But Jay I side with you that Jones (whoever it may be, Slavin, Steve, etc) should foot some of the bill. Or at least your deductable.

And no, for everyone else, it wasn't pretty. I rolled up a few mins after it happened and his car is def messed up. The trunk lines up on the left side but is a good 1 1/2" lifted up on the right side.

Oh and Jay, Pablo says it happens more often then we know. Maybe talk to some of the guys that have been there awhile. If you can "prove" to Slavin/Steve/etc that it does this often, maybe they'll help?

Sorry again man, I hate seeing your car like this.

TRUE.....I work at a Honda Dealer and kevin works at an Acura Dealer

Thanks for the input kev.....My insurance adjuster is coming tomorrow to write his estimate on the damage....I hope that everything works out, I just want my car back.

I believe that the body shop may try to help with the repair costs, I will just have to wait and see what transpires..........

Every car wash I have ever seen or been through says that they are not liable for any damages done to the car. so my guess is. you're fucked.

...and your running 1,000 watts to just a sub with no amp to the highs? Thats gotta sound like explative ...20 farads? Even if you were planning on expanding your system as many watts as that thing can handle I know no integra could handle all that hahah! Well overkill can't HURT per say but I'm just pointing out that it is overkill. Good luck with teh car

And the isurance shouldn't go up for something that was out of his control,as aforementioned its comprehensive.
