Default home CNC software

I work at a CNC machine shop as the resident welder. I was curious if ther is some kind of home version of CNC software I could buy and play around with to design some simple stuff. I have very limited experience inn the design area of CNC programming. About 8-9 years ago in high school I played around with mastercam mill systems for a bit and thats all. so is there a user friendly software where i could design simple stuff at home? and where can i get it from?

TIA

Subscribing, thought it might be dangerous for my wallet to have access to such software.
