I'd check using a newer compression tester. My b16a2 was 195 across the board.

I've never seen a compression test actually done, would anybody like to explain it? Yes, I know what compression is, yes, I know what it should be.....I'm j/w 'cause I've never seen anybody actually do it..

Ok, let me explain how you do it.
1. Warm up engine if you already havent.
2. Remove all spark plug wires.
3. Remove ALL spark plugs.
4. Remove Blue 15A ECU fuse(Fusebox located on upper left in engine bay).
5. Screw in the Compression tester hose into a cylinder and attach the guage.
6. Crack the engine 5 times(You can hear it) with foot all the way down on the throttle.
7. Repeat steps 4 and 5 for the other cylinders.
8. Put the ECU Fuse, plugs, and wires back in.

Your numbers should be within 20% I believe.

It would definately not hurt to test your vacuum. Vacuum test's are VERY underrated but you would be amazed at what they can tell you.

btw, if i have a leak in one of my vacume lines, could it result in missfiring at idle? or atleast making the CEL go on?

sounds like a bad tester, all the same would indicate that its good, but i would definately get a new tester or atleast gauge for it.

was your engine warm when you did that test? A cold engine will yield low compression.
