alright, i just got a 89' si hatch that don't run... i swapped out a rusted d16 block and threw in a d15b7 with the tranny it came with. i used the intake manifold & throttle off the d15b7. its had a obd1 distributor, so i repinned the engine harness w/ a obd1 clip f/ the distributor. everything seems to be hooked up correctly and i've tried using a obd0 ecu (pm8 i think) and i tried it w/ my friends jumper harness to hook up my obd1 p28 and nothing. still don't work. i don't know what else to try and i feel like just giving up on it.

none, nadda, no codes on either ecu... it doesn't start up, just cranks.

 

ground wires?? are all your ground wires connected?

 

*how* doesnt it work? what does it do?

yes, they were a little old so i hooked up jumper cables from the battery straight to the tranny ground connection

it just doesn't start up. i cranks and sound like it wants to start but it doesn't.

that's exactly what i thought a first but i've tried w/ both of them in each slot and left it the way i seen in some diagram floating around on this forum...

i don know but i think this **** ain't worth the hassle..

 

GOT IT!!!
had to pay my friend to help me.. took apart the distributor and another obd2 distributor i had and mixed some parts around. he got it running after that.. goddamn finally, im happy..
