Time for some softer tires...or at least less air.

Don't spend money on anything, just go and practice. You can improve on that 60ft on regular street tires.

Lower tire pressure to like 15psi practice launching IE slipping and dropping and see what nets you the best 60ft. Full throttle shifting can drop quite a few tenths ( I dropped a full second on my buddies car) on your time as well. If you do it too fast, you'll bang gears and be needing a new tranny. Ask me how I know.

You'd think so, but getting out of the hole with a decent 60ft more then makes up for it. More contact patch = better traction and more rolling resistance. My best time on street tires I was running 14psi and still spinning performance/all season type radials. Play with tire pressure and see what happends. Dont be afraid to be drastic.
