BFG Drag Radials vs M&H Street Strip DOTs
I don't want to jump on the honda-tech bandwagon just cause everyone else is doing it. Everyone seems to like both tires, but i seem to hear better things overall about the M&H's.
If you have tried both, which do you like better (preferably the same size). Does anyone have any track times with both? That'd be very helpful.
Also, how does the treadwear compare between these two tires. I'd like to drive these on the street quite a bit.
Thanks.

M&H Street Strip DOT Racemaster tires are a bias ply tire. They're a slick with grooves cut into them to give them a "tread" basically. **** on the street, **** mileage. I think Cunha has gone bottom 10's or even 9's on them. They hook like a slick. The BFG DR's you can street drive and are actually a radial tire.

I have the M&H bias ply's and they hook great on the street. Imagine having traction in 2nd with almost 500whp in a fwd car. If you want traction on the street these are the best tires to get. They look a little goofy but thats a small price to pay. I've probably put 2000+ miles on them already and they still have a lot of meat on them. Nothing like getting a better launch than force fed v8's with radials.

Why do you assume the M&H are **** on the street? What do you mean by that?</TD></TR></TABLE>
When I tried them on the street I didn't like the way they shook and were unstable cruising at higher speeds. Water and them is an absolute no-go, and they grew enough at high speeds to rub my fenders. I just don't like driving a bias ply on the street, If you want a great hooking 26" tire that does alright on the street, run a 235/60/15 MT Drag Radial.

I run the P235/60-15 on my 15" GSR blades. I'd like to try the P235/60-14 because it has more sidewall.

That is odd that you were having shaking problems. I have put probably 2k hard miles on mine with no issues at all. Driven in the rain, on the interstate at over 150mph with no issues. They are great tires. Ran 10s with them in a full street car with no issues. They are also smaller than the MT drag radials which is nice since these are already so big.

Wierd.. I am running them on my car as a dailydriver and I am having zero problems with them on the freeway or in the water.. I live in Oregon and the weather has been rain/snow the past few weeks and they are doing fine. Maybe you didn't raise your car high enough? I have zero rubbing problems after I raised the car up.

Have you tried the M&H and the MT drag radial? It seems like the M&H hooks great and gets really good treadlife. I think the MT might be worse from what people say, but I'm not sure. I agree, bias ply seems kinda weird on the street, but then again, i dont know crap about tire technology.

I had the M/T and I didnt like them. I'm going to try out the M&H's this year. I had a set of American Racers (theyre like the M&H's and are bais ply) I liked them alot better then the M/T's.

So I guess I should have included ET streets in the title. Which tire is best for good treadwear and good traction... including the ET streets.
