1995 Accord odometer and trip-meter get stuck
Pushing the trip-meter reset stalk doesn't help, although it does reset the trip meter just fine. What does help is banging on the dash, but it doesn't always help, only sometimes, and only if I bang hard enough. Anybody have any ideas for a better fix? Or should I consider myself blessed and just accumulate miles while my car stays stuck in a time warp. It'll be good for trade-in value...

Sounds like a good idea to me. Just fix it before you sell it.

not racking mileage is good for you i think, but you do want to know the miles per gallon your getting and when does the car hits 3,000 miles for an oil change. go to a junk yard and find the speedo section of the cluster. its basically a plug and play deal
Could be the speedometer itself or maybe the VSS. Does the RPM guage stop when the speedometer stops or is the RPM not affected?
To get the speedometer out, you will need to remove the bezel that goes around the cluster, heating vents and climate control. Once thats removed, you'll then need to unscrew the cluster from it's mounting locations. Pull the cluster out and unplug it. You see some clips along the edge of the cluster and the clear cover, unclip them and pull it apart. Unbolt the speedometer and slide it out. Replace everything in reverse order.

same thing happened in my accord, i just went and got a new one and replaced the old one, everything works fine now...mine was stuck for about 3000 miles, then i decided i shuold probably get it fixes
It's definitely the odometer cluster, not the VSS, because the tach is fine, and the odometer seems to get stuck every 100 miles. I'll either get a new odometer or clean and lubricate the old one. Thanks a ton for the dash disassembly outline.
