my '98 jdmb18c misfires once or twice at low rpm's under load at temperature and also has a strange , droning idle 1500-900 like 5 times then it smooths out. I was told Check coolant to make sure there arent any bubbles.......and if not that.....my IAC (over 200$) and then my ignition coil or module could be going..........I haven't ANY CODES......HELP ME!!!! i HAVE done EVERTHING else including wires, plugs checked the cap.....distributor is mint.....please help.....i am down to these 3 possible problems.....help again NO CODES!!@!
try flushing the coolant... dont mix with other coolant unless the coolant says it can be mixed with another.. try cleaning that IACV and check on the gasket.. My car did this after installing a Skunk2 manifold onto my gsr.. idling at 1500-2000 it was my IACV rubber gasket.. also i went ahead and flush my whole coolant system with the Blue Honda coolant only like $20 a gallon I believe.. Good Luck
my 96ex was doing the same thing acouple of days ago. go in the the distributor and take off the rotor and under the casing there is some wires one of my wires came out and it didn`t trip a code and it had a real funny idle and would die sometimes so check your distributor.

nah.....my distributor is fine
nah.....my distributor is fine
Have you any idea of what may be wrong, reason im asking is because i'm having a similar problem on my b16, at idle my rpm drops considerably and sometimes the engine shuts off, works fine at cruising and at high speeds, no codes either. Already changed out the distributor, put in a new distributor, cap and rotor, also replaced the map sensor, any ideas.... this **** sux

IT DOES SUCK, MAN......im gonna get my car hooked up to a computer tomorrow, cause I have to go to tha City for the International Car show........i think you should get your iacv looked at if it happens before your car reaches temperature. then again.....im ****** clueless right now......ALWAYS make sure your coolant is full.......bleed it if you arent sure
A local told me to check the throttle position sensor and the idle control sensor, an idea if this can also be the cause to the problem?

thats what the iacv is bro, idle air controll sensor, but it doesnt affectthe motor AFTER temperture is reached, plus im pretty sure it would throw a code 14
