i have a 97 civic hx 5 speed, and i swapped the transmission out for a 95 EX transmission. now for some reason when i put the car in reverse, the reverse lights wont go on. what could be the problem??

 

check the wiring. there is a little 2 wire switch on the front of the trans. make sure its hooked up

 

yea make shure the reverse switch is hooked up. if it is and it still aint working you can turn the car to "on" and put in reverse and check for continuity between the two wires in the switch. or even faster just pull the reverse switch from your old trany

 

any pics of this switch? i think i'm having the same problem....

 

Also check the fuse under the dash!

 

fuses are fine


i checked the reverse wire, its in, but maybe its faulty?
