Default Throttle Body Spacer

im looking into getting a Throttle Body Spacer for my CL. and my two options are either a helix power tower or an air raid TB spacer. its pretty much gonna come down to price if i decide to do this. Do any of you guys have a TB spacer on your 4cyl Accords and if u do have you noticed a difference with MPG/Sound/Power. with this mod im really only concerned with MPG and Sound, so if i can get that, then it will be worth it, im not really concerned about power from this mod cuz my car would still be sloooo anyways.

I have the hondata heatshield intake manifold gasket on my k24a4, however i did it at the same time as swapping for tsx intake manifold, so gains are hard to isolate.

Both together added power, but heatsoak is more noticeable now since i did not do the throttle body coolant bypass. I've since done this and heatsoak seems to be reduced.

Are these spacers for isolating the TB to prevent heat soak, or the ones that "spin" the air. I can see a point to the first one, but the second one is useless.

I was thinking they were the spinner ones. If he get's one I'm going to point and laugh.

im not talking about intake manifold gasket's which i was considering. im talking about actual TB spacers. im not quite sure if its for heatsoak or "spinning" air, but i know there suppose to increase gas mileage, sound, and some power.

I know this is a famous old trick for V8's but I have never seen it give a 4cyl a noticible difference. Especially with stock engine internals(you are welcomed to prove me wrong though)

They really won't do anything. You should save your money.

Wasn't the guy just asking about a freaking TB spacer? Ya'll went crazy...
My friend has one installed, and makes no difference about the sound... but it did give him a little extra HP. The TB spacer is like you are having a bigger intake manifold, it holds more air... and you know what they say about air right?! ...more air.. more power baby....

I didn't see anyone go crazy. And he said he is really only concerned with MPG and sound. You said it makes no difference about sound, so...

it doesn't work like that, if it's that simple honda just just move the throttle body down to the filter and have a mad power vtec

it's way more complicated, that's why they have dual runner or spider legs intake manifold

i will not do a jack about MPG, come on! this is not some carb and float 50's push rod, it's a waste of money and might as well get a tornado to complete the useless package

well ive been told by a few people with 3.0CL's that they noticed a difference in a 3 of the things ive mentioned. mostly power and sound more so than gas mileage. but its a totally different motor obviously so who knows what it can do for the F22B.
