Default For Those Running the Moroso RR Oil Pan.

I have tried to call Moroso Technical Support but keep getting a busy signal. Since I know there are others in here that have this pan I need to know when using the RR Pan for the 1.8/1.6L B series motors (part #20910) will the standard dipstick be sufficent when checking oil levels or is there a special dipstick that is needed to check oil levels?

I can't imagine the use of a special dipstick being necessary unless stated otherwise.

OEM should be fine. Check their website in the FAQs section.

OEM dipstick works fine. You absolutely ought not to change the absolute level of oil compared to the oil pickup.

BTW-- on my B18C5 the tranny brace needs to be "massaged" to get it to fit. By "massaged" I mean chopped up with a sawzall. I think the other B's are different. But, the pan works great and I like the extra capacity and cooling and baffling.

Are you using the new steel one or the old aluminum one? My steel RR pan is just like OEM on the outside except for the kickout.

P.S. - And I use the OEM dipstick, works fine.

this one. 20910.

Looks OEM size, isn't OEM size. My 3" downpipe is also right up against it.

quick question. is this pan (20910) for GSR/ITR or LS/B16? since it uses the stock pickup wouldnt it cause problems if you used the wrong pickup? which engine is this pan made for? does it matter?

only rason i ask is because of the difference of stock pans/pickups between b16/ls and gsr/itr

I bought the 20910 pan from Moroso. Either got it from Jegs or Summit, can't remember. Looking at the instructions I got here, says it fits 1994-1998 Acura Integra with 1.8L VTEC and Non-VTEC. 5.5 Qt capacity, use stock Honda oil pan gasket, oil pump and oil pickup. I had no issues installing it on my USDM B18C1. JDM 4-1 clears no problem as well. I put in 5.5 Qts every time. Right on the upper mark. Stock dipstick. You don't want to change this as a reference point. Just because the pan holds 1-1.5 Qts more, just add that oil and you'll be back up on the dipstick. It makes sense if you just stop and think about it.

I had this on my B16 with no problems so it must fit both the B16A and B18C's

Does the OEM windage tray work with this pan?

On my ITR, yes it fits fine. Only thing that didn't fit was the tranny brace/flywheel splash shield/whatever that is.

Thanks Chris. Did you modify the brace/splash guard? I guess it's an issue when using any pan other than Mugen/Spoon.

You know what? I don't remember why I didn't put it back on. I do remember hacking the **** out of it. But, I just left it off in the end.

On an ITR, does this pan hang down lower than the OEM pan? Ie. is it closer to the ground, than the oe pan?

Absolutely a good move and well worth the money... We use Moroso pans on all of our 'B' Series engines. Great part, baffles work well. Use the stock dip stick and stay away from the Canton Oil Pans they are worst fitting pieces of crap I have seen!

I would buy this Moroso 20910 oil pan to , but i read a few issues , but are there issues???

*If i read this topic i can use the OEM dipstick.

*I can't replace the splash guard any more , but is that the splash guard form the gearbox (Flywheel cover) or the splash guard for the underneed engine???

*But how is the ground clearance and can is stil use my aftermarket header??
