Default 60-100 pull *quick video*

So I put the camera in the car to get a 60-100 pull.

Basic Setup:
9:1 b16 with JDM s1 cable tranny shifting at 8100-8200
sc34
1 bar of b00st
2300lb EF chassis without me

http://media.putfile.com/b16_1bar

I didnt brake boost or anything like I normally do. And I seem to lose steam once in 4th

So there you go.

Any opinions? Can I rev out a stock b16 head any higher safely (I assume not)

blah

what a/r on the exhaust housing?...if it's a .63 you could probably go a couple hundred more rpm's.....btw--it looks like your gas gauge is moving down throughout the whole vid...

its a .63 yes. And I know about the gas gauge, it does that for some reason, then goes back gradually when the car sits

I take my d15b vtec up to 8k all the time
i'd assume a b16 could go alot higher than that.

but yeah, look pretty quick,
i'd have liked to see how it does if you'd kept pushing it a bit further

wut kinda tuning r u running on there?

There were cars up ahead and an uphill bend coming up, so I had to slow down.

Tuning wise, I have a Zdyne ecu with laptop.

Thats an expensive assumption..

like stylish said.. you could probably go a few hundred more..

keep in mind dropping a valve means total engine distruction.. thats why upgraded valvetrain is very important if you plan on revving much past stock

The head was listed as having "ITR/b16 valvesprings pressure matched for the best set". Not sure if that would matter any, so usually I just keep it around the stock redline. I would like to shift later so I could land in the next gear higher though

well i'm not sure what that means.. if i remember correctly ITR valvetrain is good to 9ish but if it was full itr valvetrain they would list it as so..

its up to you man.. its your engine that is at stake. do you know what retainers they used?

I revved the car to 9k before you got it, bud. It loved it, and on the dyno, there was no noise, no loss in power, nothing that showed valve float issues.

How'd the pistons look when you took the head off? If there weren't any valve indentions, I'd say shoot for the moon.
