Any1 ever seen a JRSC running around 160-170 whp? I have an 01 LX right now, hate it, to expensive to k20 swap or even add a turbo. Want to go back to my roots and get an EF. id like to keep things simple, and either keep the a6 or swap in a z6, but id like to get a JRSC.
I know theres a tun of people that are against the JRSC and that a turbo will be an alround faster car, i understand this already. But please gimme your opinion as ive never dealt with a JRSC b4.
id like to see it run 165-170whp on an 8psi pully.
Think it can be done?
I would like to keep internals stock, run 2.25" or 2.5" collector header, to 2.5" mandrel piping, upgrade fuel pump, injectors, honda IM gasket, ARP headbolts. Tune it.
BUt mostly keep it a low cost project. Id like to get it close to all done for the price i can sell my 7th gen for.
Think it can be done? ive search everywhere for dyno's of modified d16's with JRSC's, but they are very hard to find ( look on here, sohchonda.com and turbod16.com) I see the stock d16a6 6psi pulley makes 140whp on JR.com. Think 170 with mods and 8psi is reasonable?
Thanks for imput.

Havent dyno'd this yet, as i am still gathering different pulleys for the right boost i am looking for with minimal heat issues. also designing a cold air intake that will fit the CRX chassis and work with my compact battery and jackson charger.
but i'll have a dyno coming soon..... even untuned, it hauls *** on like 75% throttle.

if youre gonna daily drive your crx, the jrsc is the way to go.
more torque at IDLE than an ITR swap. more HP than a B16 swap and spend WAAAAY less money if you buy a used JRSC, i got mine for $700.
on-off-on throttle is awesome.... winding roads are a blast. i used to hear bad things about the JRSC too.... but most of those people never owned one. for a DRAG car...... of course i'd go turbo, but a car on the streets with the supercharger is a blast.

I cant wait to dyno my car... (10 PSI)
was a very strong motor to begin with. (hung with my friends 88 rex w/ B16 swap) and beat I/H/E 99 civic SI's badly when i only had a k&N drop in filter.
now i have a few more engine mods than that car's dyno above... so i'm hoping my tune will be higher numbers than that, and his are good.
