Well... my car has been in an accident and the curb pretty much hurt it... I took it to a shop down in another city... and man... i dont trust them working and touching my car.... they were suprised to see it in there shop and their eyes looked like lil money signs and i dunno if they will scam parts from me... well ill get to the point... how do i figure out if i still have my LSD? lift the car and spin the wheel on neutral?i thought it only works under pressure..... if thats the case.. which direction would the other wheel spin? if it cannot be done through that... just do it the hard way and do a couple of burn outs? i dunno someone help me~!

why the hell would you take it to a shop that you openly didn't trust?
I took my car to a shop that I had heard some nasty things about, but the guys seemed to know what they were doing. Boy was I wrong, and still paying for my mistake 5 months later.

You've got to be kidding me... What kind of shop is working on your car? Why in the world would a shop attempt to steal an LSD while they are being paid good money to work on your car? It would be way to easy to notice/prove they yanked the part afterwards.
jack up the car, spin one tire, the other should spin in the OPPOSITE direction
jack up both wheels....put it in 1st gear....spin one side-----the other should spin as well....

if it's in first gear, how would you be able to spin one of the wheels?

Helms Manual (1998 edition), Page 15-23:
Operational Check
1. Set the parking brake and block the rear wheels.
2. Raise the front of the vehicle, and support it with safety stands in the proper location
3. With the engine off, shift the transmission into 1st gear.
4. Rotate either front wheel by hand and check that the other wheel rotates in the opposite direction.
5. If the opposite front wheel does not rotate, or if you cannot spin the front wheels at all, the limited slip differential is faulty and should be replaced.
HTH
That is why the wheel will spin in the opposite direction, regardless of whether there is LSD or not. Actually it's probably more likely if there isn't LSD. If the car is in gear the motion has to go somewhere. It won't turn the crank, so it turns the opposite wheel in the opposite direction. Uhhhh, it's just what a diff does.
[slow reply edit] That's the test for the limited slip differential. But it doesn't test the operation of the limited slip, it tests the operation of the differential.

Pull out the axle, and see if you see a bar in the hole You should be able to see the other end of the other axle. No bar=LSD. If you see a bar=no LSD. Open diff.

Geeze.. doesn't it ever rain out there? Just point the car uphill and give her..
If the car goes straight with one wheel spinning, the diff has been raped...
If the car goes sideways with both wheels spinning, the diff is
