I'm sorry if some people feel this is completely off topic, but I was just thinking about it, and I thought it deserved to be shown to all the other honda folks...

So my friend is building up a hatch w/ turbo and heavily modded engine (usually he goes N/A, so this is like, a rarity for him), and it's completely gutted, body's had the dents pulled and parts primed but not painted, doesn't have a hatch, passenger door, fenders, an interior, a bumper, windows (any of them), or a windshield - so if you could picture it, it's pretty bare..

So I give him a hand w/ it whenever I'm at his shop...Anyways...he gets the pipe for the intercooler system (pipe form the wastegate to the side, but not all the way to the intercooler), so it was completed as far as mechanics go, I mean he still had an ACT stage 3 clutch to put in and such, but it was road worth...or at least as far as I was concerned, so I pulled it out of the garage and waited utnil no cars were around, revved it to about 6k and dumped the clutch, sat there roasting the tires for almost a minute (as I had the e-brake up), dropped the brake and the tires caught a bit and it started to move, then I was forced to remember something..

The CF hood that was on it wasn't attached to anything..I mean it was attached at teh top..but it didn't have a latch..or pins or anything...so up comes the air, SLAMS the CF hood right into the top (prolly woulda cracked the windshield if it had one) (I didn't even leave 1st) so I jammed on the brakes and it fell back down...was still in the lane too...so then a cop comes up who apparently was getting coffee accross the street and his car was around the other side of the shop...

Yeah, so my friend laughed his *** off as this cop wrote me like 20 ******* tickets, all of them non-moving violations (saftey ****)..I have to appear in court beacuse of this (maybe I can get away with an insanity plea :-P)

Cop didn't give 2 ***** that I left dark black skidmarks for 40 ft (that's about all I got b4 the hood popped up) but ****, this guy gave me a ticket for everything, no windows, no windshield, no hatch, no passenger door, improper equipment for the hood...THe list went on forever (I ended up w/ 11, all of them non-moving)..

This bitch wrote me 2 SEPERATE tickets for no doors, 1 for not having a hatch and another for not having a door (they both say door on them though), he was a real hard ***, gave me a ticket for "obstructed view" I was like "the hood's see through(because there's a window right above the head (for show I guess) but he didnt' seem to care....

And everytime I went to contest something he told me to shut up, said that he could nail me for wreckless endangerment with the hood up like that and the massive burnout on the street and told me he could pin so much crap on me in moving violations I'd never see my license until I'm 30.....so I shut up...

And like, my friend, and his bro, and a bunch of people were all laughing at me..

I g2 appear in court late May 3rd...luckily the judge brings his rav4 to the garage where my friend and I were working on the car, so I'll probably get off w/ not that much..obviously fines...(the judge is a nice guy)

Yeah, so that was my idiot action of the year....and today I broke a distributor bolt in half while putting the dizzy cap back on, got it out but......I'm having really bad luck lately

OH well, it's in the past.....right? Yeah, so I just thought it was pretty funny (I didn't at the time, I was extremely pissed) and thought I'd share it w/ some good peeps

and btw if ur all gonna be like "this is 10 min of my life I"ll never get back" -- thread title warned ya, ho O.o

BTW syndycate may the Honda gods be with you lol. I think you have to be completly honest with the judge, explain to him you know what you did wring and have already learned from it. Make him understand that having you pay all the fines is overkill.

Well, I'm not going to give you the "I told you so" speech, because I really don't care. I would much rather just say that I've had bad luck in my time, but not that bad.

I do have to say that my car just went through a hail storm this week, along with my motherboard biting the dust. So, I destroyed my cell phone, on accident.

haha, actually it was funny what broke, the tips broke off (on each side, where they meet the fender/windshield area (or what would have been the windshield), but that was all the damage to the CF hood, the hood's a dual slot though, and as you know the dual slot creats a image like this _|_ when staring at it from the front bad image, but u get the picture...so there's a dent (about 3/4 of an inch deep) right above where the windshield would be, the CF hood OWNED the chassis O.o

My friend told me today he got the door, windshield, and hatch on, I might take a look at it tomorrow, if I remember I'll bring my camera..

Yeah, for all of those who said I was a moron, yeah, it was a pretty stupid thing to do, but hey, it was running right, I wanted to test it out, sometimes when u get too excited about new toys u rush things :-P

And yeah, the cop could have gone a lot worse on me..

Oh well, it'll be nice once it's finished (painted 'n all), but yeah, the CF hood still like..fits...just tabs broke off the tips, oh well, I still think it was funny that the CF tab in between the slots dented the roof, but no damage to the CF hood from that..

im not exactly sure but here in hawaii u can drive around without the hatch and glass. i did from the paint shop and nothing major. u better see exactly wat u can get busted for and wat u cant. and u would think he woulda gave u tickets if he could for the moving violation but maybe he didnt see it, and theres no proof. tire marks could easily be blamed on some guy who did it 3hours ago.

just look on the brightside.
