I just did this on my teg this past weekend and we did it on my boys SI coupe. You take off your bumper cause the lines run infromt of the radiator and under the radiator, oh and the thick rubber lines in front of the radiator. You might want to loosent the radiator too to give you better access and mobility. You need to take out the intake and the battery aswell since the line enters the interior.
What I did was loosen the line from the condenser which is the the radiator looking thing infront of the radiator. Loosen it slowly as to not let everything just gush out. Kind of like letting the air out of a soda bottle. Mine took like 1 minute to drain. Yeah I know it is not legal to do this, but it was free. Put a can on thebottom of the car since some fluid will drain. THen you can start looseing where all the lines are held to the chassis. Loosen the lines that go to the compressor, follow them to where they go and proceed to loosen the rest of the lines. Under teh radiator there will be a bracket holding the thick rubber lines together take that off and continue to follow the lines. You will have to maneuver the lines around to get them out, just separate them and take them out in sections (much easier) . It took me about 35 minutes to do the whole system including the compressor. Hope this helps. Oh the lines that connects to the firewall under the battery is held by two 10mm bolts. You will see that most of the brackets are held together by 10mm bolts. To separate the lines I used open wrenches I thnk 17,19,14mm. Let ne know if you need help. The inside is not hard at all eaither just follow the lines and unbolt the interior unit. Good luck
just be careful if their is any ac refrigrant left in the lines can burn you

you dont have to take the bumper off and i took mine out while leaving the radiator in. just remove the mounts and you can pull the condensor out. you can also get the freon lines out through the top where you removed the condensor.

tru
just giving a idea it would be easier with the bumper off for you could see it and its 6 bolts to take the bumper off....it is up to him though....lol

i did this as well on my 88 rex. everything is gone. anyways, i did it the same way where i just unbolted the radiator, took of the upper rad support, and pulled the condensor and lines out through there. pretty easy that way.
if you plan to keep your heat i believe you need a non-ac crx air tube(connects the heater core to the blower fan in place of the ac).
i had to take my dash out to get the inside components out. i don't think you could do it without taking the dash out, but it comes out easy.

yeah but you are talking about taking everything out even the heater core parts....but what if you drive during the winter you are going to freeze your *** off but if it is just a track car go ahead lol.....you mise well start cutting the metal out of the doors and add to weight reduction.....
