Default turnaround time for benson engine building....

Planning on doing the works to a b18b. Sleeving, forged pistons and rods, etc etc. I am going to be using Benson's 3400 dollar package with the pauter rods.

I talked to earl and he said the turnaround time is 8 weeks.

I just wanted to get some personal experience of others. I know his work is worth it, just wanted to know if he was being conservative or not.

Earl, you may also chime in, although, I already know what you have to say.

Earl does great work

Turn around time just depends on how many builds he has scheduled before yours. Try contacting him.

I have had a few blocks done through earl. They vary in turn around time, but i think it's worth it for such a great block and such good service and support.

The blocks that we've had sleeved through Earl came back pretty quick! Definitely quicker than most turbo manifold manufacturers out there!!!! lol

I guess I will have to contact him directly when the time comes, which shouldn't be too far away.

Any more input would be great!

I've decided to use Benson for my block...hopefully it won't take too long but I know I'm getting what I pay for...which is cheaper than most places I've inquired about!

we've sent some blocks out to earl for sleeving for some customers.

Earl always kept us updated on the status of the block. But his son mike is a *****.

I had the best experience w/ Earl.
Turn around was quick, very good service. Anytime I call he is there to help the customer.
He told me build should take 8 weeks, i had the block back in 4-5 weeks.
I will always consider doing business with again.
