im looking to buy a solar welding mask soon but dont really know if they are any good, or even which brands are good, i dont want something cheap but i also dont wanna pay a fortune for it. if anyone has any suggestions of what kind to buy, and where to buy them it would be great, i saw some on ebay for 30 - 60$ but i dont really trust them for that price... anyways any help would be great

 

I bought one from Harbor Freight for like $50, and it works great.

 

yah i was thinking of getting that one too, but im thinking for that price there must be a drawback, consideing some of the bigger companies sell them for a few hundred bucks, do you have any problems with it, mainly im worried about being flashed too many times, and the side effects later on

i didnt go with the popular 3M hornell speedglas. because of the badly placed sensors.

i was in your shoes for a while, looking to buy a AD helmet. this is my 2nd. the harbor freight served me 2 years. and took a crap on me. since then i've been using my lincoln shade 10 for a while and i've got used to non-AD. but i just had to get another AD helmet.

 

The Large Screen Elite sure looks good. They are as light as the speedglass helmets! and the viewing area is as Large as the Jackson Nexgen.

Hmm, even though I bought the Jackson NexGen few days ago, Im liking the ELITE also.
