y1 tranny?

Default y1 tranny?

what year is the y1 tranny? is it 88 to 91?

would this clutch work for a b16a2? ...
HONDA CIVIC Coupe Si
1999 - 2000 / 1.6L / 4 cyl

earlier year trannies need 90-91 integra, later trannies use either the 95-97 delsol, or 99-00 si.

By the way I have the Y1 with lsd, and i've always used 90-91 teg.

All the cable B Series transmissions would us the 90-91 Integra clutch -EXCEPT for the YS1 which would use the hydro clutch kit from the 94+ Integra's.

Oh, and yes, a Y1 would take a 90-91 Integra clutch as it is a B Series Cable trans

Quick question, are b-series tranny's stamped anywhere that give you these names like Y1 or YS1, whatever?

yes there is a little goldish label on the tranny next to one thats stamped on the engine

my b16 trans doesnt have a gold lable or anything. anyway to tell what tranny it is? i know its a b16 trans at least since i used to have an LS YS1 and the gears on the tranny i have now are MUCH shorter. it uses the 90-91 size clutch disc. im just not sure if ita a y1, j1, s1, or what. the tranny came off a JDM B16A 1 million series engine. does not have LSD.

there is also a white bar code, that is if it is still on there
it will say

ys1 2134345345 ect

1 million series is an integra, so you have an s1 or j1. I have checked both and they are identical gearing.
