yeah you can, there's no real cons..you'll still get the advantage of the skunk 2 manifold, although unless it's really fine tuned and **** u won't get MAXIMUM potential out of it I'd assume...
When I put my skunk manifold on my c1 I noticed that vtec was very weak when it kicked in and it seemed that it kicked on sooner that it did with the stock manifold.I put a vafc on it and bumped the vtec back up and it seemed to work fine with the gsr ecu.I am running a obd1 ecu now and it runs better than the gsr ecu with the vfac. But i also am running type r cams, header, exhaust. So get a vafc or run a obd2 to obd1 conversion harnness and run a chipped p28 etc... Just my opinion.Hope this helps
the skunk2 manifold on the b18c1 will make you lose some power unless you chip your ecu and get rid of the secondary butterly. Im running i/h/e and the skunk2 manifold and i still make good power but not its best potential power. Im still waiting on getting a chip ecu or hondata s300
I agree on what these other guys are saying. I got my skunk2 so I could pass smog but it doesnt really give much of a power increase and you lose a bit in the mid range. But you do get a little top end treat but it has its costs. I have not run a chipped setup yet so I can't comment on that yet.
I heard that if you do that you will lose the secondaries and that is what makes the gsr better then the b16 if you do the I.M. it will help out a lot and I second what every one else said about the ecu i have a gsr swap with the blox manifold and the J spec carbon fiber intake and a chipped ecu and a test pipe and i dynoed at 159hp at the wheels so the chipped ecu helps out a lot .

This is true i had it on my old gsr-ej1. the secondaries help produce low end torque which is lost without proper tuning.

Changing your intake manifold won't change the VTEC crossover point. You were probably used to the secondarys opening up after 5k, which gives it some kick. The VTEC crossover had already taken place before 5k with a stock GSR ECU and intake mani.

The extra torque, with either manifold, is what makes the GSR better than the B16.
