GDM Dorby ferio .."0.96 cents "DIY paint JOB !!!!!!
"LESS then 50 DOLLAR PAINT JOB " ..no messy rollers baby
PROJECT PEEL ORANGE
Supplies :
3 cans of clear...' = 3 bucks
2cans of gloss black = 2 bucks
2inch wide roll of masking tape = 2 bucks
1500 grit wetsand paper x 3 sheets = 1.50
wax = 4 bucks
TOTAL = 12.50 for painting 2 fenders and a bumper
Hello boys n girls....im dorby and once again ive added a few toys to my car...changed a few sets of wheels. This time i decided to add my ferio wing and repaint the front of my car. As some of you may know, my car use to be real banged up looking....
Before...car first swapped

after some time i got a single stage bodywork/paintjob for 300 bucks..tons of orange peel...but body work taken care of...so i can rock some gloss for a while before it oxidizes , and requires a buff every month or so/////bleh
single stage orange peel job

so after messing around painting all sorts of things..ive gained enough practice and skill to make spray paint look like automotive finished paint..with the help of polishes, wetsanding, and really cheap spray paint...
I decided to do my own...not so messy project and spend less then 50 dollars for paint recovery...
1) I wetsanded my cars single stage and removed the crazy orange peel i had n touched up with gloss black and clear in a can.
2) I coated the clear on lightly and after about 3 light coats..i added 2 thick coats..after that i let the paint dry for about 2 hrs and wetsand it with 1500 grit wetsand paper.
3) After wetsanding with a sponge block and keeping the surface real wet and sand it till its smooth and trace of any gloss is left, I applied wax..any kind will do...and used my variable highspeed buffer to buff it out till it was glass smooth...make sure to keep the surface real wet at first or apply water to your buffing/polishing pad..
4 ) good luck if u all decide to do this

Ferio wing added painted in the morning and mounted in the afternoon
...PS..only fenders and bumper are being repainted..the body will be done soon..the body still has tons of peel

Front bumper done with last coat....needs wetsanding....

:FINISHED RESULTS.....
Front end done..after a long day...smooth like glass
so it can slide around with my GF's AP2

done for the day.....if anyone has questions post them up.ill try to help out...i will do the hood and the rest of the car,,this coming week...let me know ur responses to see if you are intrested in viewing
