Axle replacement on auto trans, does fluid have to be drained?
I need to replace an axle on a 97 civic ex. on an accord(manual), the fluid doesn't have to be drained, but i'm not sure about an auto.
simple question: if i don't drain the fluid, will it spill out when the axle is not in?

just do it. im sure it wont leak out. the only way it will leak out is if the tranny was overfilled previously.
