Hi... well I was jus wondering... for the people that have done a minime swap on their y7... r u guys pretty satisfied? n around how much did you spend for everything? Thanks in advance... im jus asking because im thinking bout doing this for the meantime and save up money for a better swap (i was gunna go b16 or ls). Also, would this be ok considering i already have 120kmiles?

 

do a good compression check and a leak down. if everything looks good keep the engine stock and drive it. save your money for the b16 you'll be happier in the long run. if you absolutely have to have something more than stock find a buddy selling a d16z6 for cheap.

 

If all you plan on doing is the mini me and not turboing it then no don't do it. Save up for an LS swap at the least.

 

ive spent around 100 bucks so far for the head complete and jus need ecu nd jumper for a p28.

 

Hmmm... yea, thas wha i keep goin back and forth... lol. Cauz I mean... I can prolly get an LS swapped in for about 1k... wen the minime will prolly cost me bout 500. And like you said... in the long run, I'd love the LS or b16 a lot more.
